Before I start, happy easter to everyone! Finally its the end of the holy week and the end of my summer vacation as well since I’ll be going back to school on Wednesday. Im still quite scared of what will happen on Wednesday, The last time I checked the enlistment only 4 people have signed up for JSP 103: Intermediate Japanese and the policy is if the class is less than 15 people then it would be dissolved, I hope more people enlist before Wednesday.

As always was the tradition, a 7th Heaven marathon would be shown during Maundy

Thursday up to Good Friday and this year would probably be their last marathon ever since they showed the marathon of season 11, which is the last season. I can’t really imagine Holy Week anymore without a 7th Heaven marathon!

I ended my holy week by watching Caregiver a while ago. Im not really the type of person who would watch filipino mainstream films but I have to say that story really touched my heart.

Im really sleepy now and I still plan to level my warlock tonight so Im signing off.

In the recent months that I’ve owned Anita, she has turned out to probably be the best blogging companion I’ve ever had. My Science and Society teacher, Mrs. Assunta Cuyegkeng that their generation doesn’t understand blogging as a journal is supposed to be your own personal private thoughts but we however spread it for the world to see. Some blogging networks have worked around this by giving users privacy options such as showing posts to a limited number of contacts but that doesn’t insure that whatever you type down doesn’t spread.

My own personal solution to this for people who like the idea of keeping a private journal but aren’t used to handwriting long entries anymore. The solution is MAMP and WordPress. MAMP gives you an easy way to install MySQL APACHE and PHP for your Mac. Once you have MAMP installed you can then simply create a database for your wordpress and install wordpress. You get to blog and rant but still within the comfort and limits of your computer. Your website should only be accessible from your computer or your home network and with simple changes in the port settings you can require visitors (if you want visitors) to enter a password before being able to view any of part of your blog/site

My English 11 teacher told me a dozen times before that the library had a lot of resource materials but I didn’t think it had the books that I needed to help me learn more about my hobbies.

I visited the Rizal Library today to simply kill time as it was one of the best places in campus to go to sleep. I searched their database just to see if they had any books on , Apache and web development and they did!

I wasn’t just able to barrow a book on PHP but I was also get Flash, XML and Ajax scripting books as well. :-)

I started working with PHP when I was a sophomore in high school because I needed to find a way to make updating Farplaneabyss (my old Final Fantasy media site then) easier and faster. I’ve learned a couple more tricks over the past couple of years, more than your usual dynamic and simple PHP inclusion but it was never really enough. Though I’ve been comfortable using PHP, I never really learned formally which is why I never made my own scripts.

I’m so happy now that I have these books to read! I have a lot of free time this summer even with my design job but it helps a lot with the things I have to do.

At the start of the month I placed the site down on hiatus because I had a lot of work to do with school and the GUIDON (my college’s newspaper) so I apologize if I didn’t warn anyone. I also decided to take everything down because the database and the previous wordpress installation was starting to get buggy so it was best if I started over.

It will probably take me a couple of days to get a new theme up. Since I hate using the default kubrick theme I tried to find a good theme to use for a while and I found this at Blinding Light WordPress themes.
