Philippine Customer Support

I’ve been pretty busy these past weeks trying to contact numerous Technical support and Customer support divisions of two companies specifically Globe Telecommunications and Philhosting.net.

I loaded 100 prepaid credits unto my cellphone on New Years Eve, Dec 31, 2008 and the next day after sending 6 messages of “Happy new year” my account balance became 0. I called Globe Customer support and they filed a report and well 21 days later after more than 21 follow ups, I still haven’t received any word about my complaint. Apparently this is a real problem with Globe specially if your on prepaid and don’t have a lot of ways to track your account balances. I can see that their customer support representatives are trying all that they can but the problem is they can’t do enough and their support division needs to seriously fire some lazy individuals. Imagine not having any way to contact people on your birthday of all days! What’s even worse is on that same day I was badly disrespected by a CSR who commented that “sir if you do not stop screaming this conversation will end”, first of all no matter how hard I scream (which is actually a justified expression of anger) that agent had no right and according to their codes of conduct should have not threatened that.

Our database servers for Wired was down starting the last week of December and are still down as of today. Eric has already sent tickets and I’ve already sent emails but still nothing so I called Philhosting last monday and I have to say, I have never been more rudely confronted by a CSR all my life. I complained that our servers have been down for almost a month and she immediately interrupted me saying “Sir I do not believe that your servers could be down for a month that’s impossible” in filipino. She kept interrupting me every time I said something and it was really getting on my nerves.

Coming from a country that boasts a great percentage of outsourced callcenters, you would expect better service that this right? Globe I can live with as he was probably under pressure but that woman from Philhosting was definitely too much and it seems I wasn’t the only one who was met with the same response. I already told our president that we want to move hosts as this is definitely the worse hosting I have ever seen. Just to warn everyone, never buy hosting from Philhosting unless you want a headache.
