The Yellow Lady

Corazon Aquino was the first female president of the Republic of The Philipines and Asia as well. She often wore yellow during public appearances as a tribute to the first EDSA revolution and to her husband Ninoy Aquino. The idea of the Yellow Revolution (peaceful revolution) started from her.

The color yellow became part of her signature. I never really understood why yellow was the color for the whole aquino heroism and holiday until I actually searched it up today. The idea of the yellow ribbon came from when Ninoy referred to the song “Tie a yellow ribbon” in an interview. The yellow ribbon then became a symbol for Ninoy and Cory (not to mention on a shallow level, yellow did look good on Cory).

I just wanna give my tribute to madamme aquino, I was barely able to talk when she was president and barely able to see her T.V interviews (it was a time when cable TV was rare and blackouts we’re common) but she is a remarkable lady none-the-less. It is well quite a shallow attempt at glorifying Cory because really I don’t know much about her and I never had much curiosity till recently. In any case, the earthly world just said good bye to one magnificent lady may she rest in peace

Feeling unbelievably drained

I’ve been feeling unbelievably drained since last, last friday (Orsem). I guess I haven’t really recovered from the 40 degree fever I had. In any case I don’t really have time to recover anymore as well last week I had to finish a news blast while finishing my GUIDON application (4th time is the charm) requirements.

Here’s an interesting article I found yesterday. Meralco (Manila Electric) plans to implement internet broadband connections through electric lines. They say they’ll be implementing pilot tests soon by I critique the feasibility of this. This would probably mean we’d again be going to one of the many internet connection companies (ZTE remind anyone of anything) and then most likely take another loan. Then again, Meralco is a private company but the repercussions would probably be in our electric bill.

Back to my selfish life, I finally got back in the GUIDON and I did decide to actually go back as well. I went in yesterday morning to get my acceptance letter and I have to say it’s probably the funniest “official” letter I’ve recieved so far, but I understand what their trying to say.

The ADSC will be creating a dance congress soon and I’m pretty much nervous about it since the plan is to charge 3000 per head for the event and that’s a little steep for people. Unless we get in touch with every socialite in Manila, it might be hard to actually reach the quote we need.

By the way does anyone know when WSS is this year?
